Why credit unions — not banks — should get the taxpayers’ billions

AS we now enter our second year of recession and the future appears increasingly gloomy, the time for decisive and unique action has arrived.

To date, the leadership of the country has not inspired the populace by its actions, yet if managed properly, and by using some abstract thinking, we as a nation can weather oncoming events with a confident outlook.

We as a nation must accept responsibility for our present state of affairs even though factors outside our immediate control have also contributed to our plight.
