We need to be entrepreneurs — not employees

ONCE again we read of major job losses in Ireland — this time at Dell in Limerick — with more to come, no doubt.

Once again the weak underbelly of the Celtic Tiger is exposed, namely that Ireland’s employment depends to a great extent on foreign-owned businesses with no loyalty to anything or anybody except the health of the income statement.

To believe otherwise would be naive in the extreme.
