RTÉ wants more for less from its female staff

SO RTÉ has been found to be paying its female journalists approximately €3,000 less than their male counterparts.

The national broadcaster’s justification that pay is dependent on experience is self-serving in that women were impeded from advancing in journalism until recent years.

Women journalists at RTÉ are therefore penalised for something which is not their fault.
