Better to take a stand inside the system

MUCH has been written about the resignation of the CEO of the Equality, Niall Crowley.

I am reminded of the late (and much lamented) Judge Dermot Kinlen, the first appointee to the position of inspector of prisons.

Like Mr Crowley, Judge Kinlen experienced many difficulties with the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and his officials.
