Still not reassured

APPARENTLY when referring to the Government’s response to the pigmeat contamination crisis, Taoiseach Brian Cowen said: “Everything was done as one would expect.”

Considering that the factory that produced the feed had not been inspected since 2007, this “one” didn’t expect very much.

By the way, I’m not clear about what happened to the pigs that ate the contaminated feed.

Was every pork product made from them traced and destroyed?
