Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion

IN his letter accusing pro-choice groups of dishonesty (October 28), Joseph M O’Callaghan does not address the topic at issue: agencies that mislead women who are in a crisis pregnancy situation, telling them (among other things) that abortion causes breast cancer and raises the risk of suicide.

Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion

The reason pro-choice supporters don’t say we are pro-abortion is because we are not. We simply want women to have the choice as to when and whether they have children.

Being pro-choice means telling women the truth about their situation, which is something the agency in question does not do.
