Alternatives to stem cell research
Earlier this year, it was reported that Japanese scientists at Kyoto University used skin cells from adult mice to make cells which are indistinguishable in every way from embryonic stem cells.
It was also recently reported that Professor John Martin of the University of London is carrying out very promising research using a patient’s own stem cells to repair heart damage.
