There is a high prevalence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in our jails that should be treated, but it is being ignored.

As a result prisoners are being released back into society, where they are likely to end up on drugs, or committing other crimes.

A report published by the British government showed that children with ADHD are more likely to commit crime later in life. Professor Michael Fitzgerald of Trinity College noted from his research and experience, that people with ADHD are more likely to have trouble with the law, have accidents, or have drug problems.
