Economic downturn - Jobs can still be found

Despite the current downturn in the economy, more than 100,000 jobs will be filled by recruitment agencies this year. As a result, much of the current doom and gloom is unfounded.

Things may not be as great as they were, but they are still much better than they were in earlier decades.

In some ways it is easier to get a job now, because people already in employment are reluctant to change jobs. Hence there are fewer applicants for positions.
