Scientific approach to treaty vote decision

GOOD jobs are innovated, not inherited. Our ability to innovate jobs is dependent on the knowledge provided by our universities — it is not what you know but when you know it.

Trinity College Dublin has the highest world ranking of our universities, at 223. American universities hold all the top rankings.

The EU needs to help all the European universities to do better. The EU has the critical mass, but it needs fine tuning by the Lisbon Treaty so as to be focused and flexible to keep pace in the global hi-tech race.

I am voting yes to Lisbon as it will accelerate the transformation of the EU into a creative scientific community.
