Saying no may be Europe’s last chance

It is hard to accept that the Lisbon Treaty is good for democracy when at its very inception no one but the Irish are allowed to vote.

The debate has got lost in issues and short term opt-outs for Ireland but most people have no awareness of the big picture of where the EU is headed. We simply don’t understand the implications of giving ever more power to unelected leaders of this unfolding political and military entity.
