IN his letter (May 15), Maurice Fitzgerald repeats common misinformation about agricultural subsidies.

As a frequent contributor to your letters page, it is regrettable that he seems more addicted to expressing his own views than reading those of others. A comprehensive letter on the topic in question appeared in the letters page (May 7) in which I explained the claims about which he and many others are in error — and which has not been challenged.
