Shock tactics

WHAT a contrast between the factual, objective letter from Pat Swords (April 24) on the reality of the situation in Ukraine and the misleading whinge from Dónal de Róiste whose letter (April 24) was a deliberate attempt to make people’s flesh creep, but it certainly was not based on fact.

Shock tactics

It was outrageous to use terms such as “horror”, “terror” and “rats in a trap” in relation to the Three Mile Island accident which resulted in no release of radiation, and therefore no damage.

And to write that “the nuclear industry is just a chain reaction leading not to progress, but to death” displays an ignorance of the facts and merely cheapens any arguments against nuclear power.
