Let’s be objective

ERIC CONWAY (Letters, April 17) is probably right when he says we should undertake a “critique of feminism”.

One hopes, however, that such a debate would be objective and balanced. In his attack on your columnist Diarmaid Ferriter (April 4), Mr Conway used derogatory phrases like “sycophantic fawning”, “lower-case acolytes”, “deranged theories of the Sisterhood” and the “ideological cul-de-sac that Sister (Margaret MacCurtain) has bought into”. These only damage the legitimacy of his own case.
