‘No’ to defence pact

I WILL vote ‘no’ to the Lisbon treaty because Ireland would become a province once again if it is passed. EU Commission president José Manuel Barroso has acknowledged the treaty incorporates a mutual defence pact.

I do not wish to see my grandchildren being conscripted into an EU army as fodder for future wars.

I wish to add I am not a left-wing whinger, a Provo bank-robber or a gangster because I oppose this treaty. Such name-calling is beneath contempt.
