Great performers a source of Irish pride
What a pleasure it was then to encounter true Irish talent, beauty and art, such as I did at the Seattle Symphony Hall last Monday night.
For two hours, I was caressed by the beautiful strains of Prokofiev, Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky, artfully and beautifully delivered by the gifted Irish Chamber Orchestra and Camerata Ireland conducted by Irish maestro Barry Douglas.
I was filled to the brim with pride as I watched this group of Irishmen and women, from North and South, provide us with an alternative view of Irish culture, particularly at this time of the year. My thanks to all of them for their dedication to their art.
