HERE in Seattle we are overdosed with over-the-top stage Irish routines at this time of year, and for most of us real Irish here the cringe factor goes way off the charts.

Great performers a source of Irish pride

What a pleasure it was then to encounter true Irish talent, beauty and art, such as I did at the Seattle Symphony Hall last Monday night.

For two hours, I was caressed by the beautiful strains of Prokofiev, Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky, artfully and beautifully delivered by the gifted Irish Chamber Orchestra and Camerata Ireland conducted by Irish maestro Barry Douglas.
