A politician resigns - Steely backbone or brass neck?

IF every member of the Oireachtas “with links to a developer” resigned because of them — as Ian Paisley Jnr has done — there would be more than enough room in the Natural History Museum for both the honourable members’ houses.

Once again we have seen a politician from outside this state resign on foot of charges very similar to those faced by members of our own parliament.

It highlights once again dominance of a culture of endurance-above-all in the hearts of our political parties.
