Moving the Senate - A perceptive transfer
A cross between a rest home, a gentleman’s debating club and a proving ground for thrusting young politicians, the Senate has little or no relevance to day-to-day life in this country.
No matter how loudly the gentlemen and ladies of our second house squeal they remain members of an ineffectual anachronism and the only regrettable things about the move is that it is temporary and the intrusion it makes on one of the finer cultural institutions of our capital.
