Not in the picture

I WAS intrigued to read Ann Cahill’s feature article headlined ‘Women in Power’ (January 15).

I was impressed to see that the Dutch Antilles has had three female prime ministers and our neighbour, Iceland, has had a female president.

All of this augurs well for the future.

However, I was even more intrigued to notice that of the 36 worthy female politicians pictured in the page, there didn’t seem to be room for a photo of our nearest neighbour’s former prime minister, Margaret Thatcher.

I hope this is no reflection on her femininity.
