Fooled once again

THE budget was an anti-climax. After weeks of media hype from the Government to tighten our belts, the economic decline we were led to expect hasn’t really come true.

It is now clear that the Fianna Fáil media machine had been generating fear of a downturn to make Cowen & Co look good.

The Government didn’t give us a good budget. It did what it does best — fooling the people, again.
