Job shock for nurse

AS a recently-returned emigrant who was educated in the US, I was shocked that my application for a nursing licence was refused.

Meanwhile, an Irish nurse who quit working more than 20 years ago, and decided to resume, had a six-week course to complete and was eligible to practise. There’s a big difference in healthcare now and 20 years ago.
