THE Irish people spoke in May when they re-elected Fianna Fáil to government.

In his letter (November 8), Fred Johnston dismissively suggests the electorate returned Fianna Fáil to power in a “sheep-like” manner.

He seems to forget that democracy involves an act of free will — voters look at the facts before them and vote accordingly.
