Giant wind machines make life a nightmare

HOW dare James McGrath (Letters, October 8) accuse Brigitte Schorn of “listing the usual canards about how wind turbines adversely affect our health and quality of life”.

Giant wind machines make life a nightmare

I am a mother to four young children living near three wind farms that have a total of 32 turbines.

Five of the turbines are located within 700m of my house. My life is a nightmare because of the noise and sheer presence of these huge machines.

I am very concerned as to how they are affecting the health of my children, especially my two-year-old daughter who wakes up screaming when the turbines are at their worst and is afraid to go back to bed.

My property is worthless, so I can’t move away.
