Sex, money and gadgets: story of new Ireland
Perhaps a tad overstated, but his view of Ireland is not inaccurate.
Obviously we’re in a new world. A busy, urban, work-orientated world with some confusion and challenges showing up in all sorts of ways.
Family and friends are often put at the mercy of pay, performance and profit. And priorities do get jumbled.
The only downside was that this viewpoint was not shared or appreciated by your leader writer (Irish Examiner September 25) who thinks Dr Morrow may be in need of some “immediate re-education and deprogramming”.
I’m sure a visit to his CS Lewis Lecture at UCC on October 4 will enlighten us further.
