* Slow Food Mackerel Fest on Wednesday, August 22 at Tom Barry’s, Barrack Street, Cork. From 7pm, pay at door — €10 for members and €15 for non-members. Smoked mackerel paté, Ballycotton Queens with Glenilen butter, and local fresh mackerel with tossed green salad will be served.
