FORAS na Gaeilge has announced a €3.6 million fund to promote the Irish language at local level.

Sadly, the State agency has still not learned to follow the lead of the Cork-based organisation Gael-Taca when it comes to marketing our language. For some years now Gael-Taca have had signs on buses telling people “Is leatsa an Ghaeilge” (“Irish is yours”).

A lot of people do not appreciate that the Irish language is theirs. The solution is for Foras na Gaeilge to tell them.
