IN his letter (April 25), Darren Mac an Phríora seems to adopt the bizarre tactics of the more extreme elements of the Irish language lobby by attacking politicians who have distinct policies on the language and praising those who have none at all.

I WAS interested in the letters from Foras na Gaeilge (July 20) and Darren Mac an Phríora (July 13) regarding the approach of Foras to the promotion of the Irish language at local level and the €3.6 million fund set up for this purpose.

FORAS na Gaeilge has announced a €3.6 million fund to promote the Irish language at local level.

I REFER to Darren Mac an Phriora’s letter (Irish Examiner, September 2) in relation to Conradh na Gaeilge’s work in general and to our campaign to improve the teaching of Irish in education in particular.
