Wrong target

I’M a fisherman who cannot land a catch without being checked by the many fishery officers based around our coast.

We have 24-hour watch for fishermen in Castletownbere, yet drug dealers seem to be able to land with impunity.

Only for the weather, that cocaine shipment last week would be on its way now to destroy countless lives.

The Government seems more concerned with making fishermen out as criminals than catching the real criminals, but we are easy targets with designated ports and satellite monitoring.
