Live Earth - Tune in, turn off, cut down

TODAY’S Live Earth concerts aim to focus further attention to the fight against global warming.

Organiser Al Gore is to ask the audience, expected to reach two billion people through televised concerts in eight cities, to commit to a seven-point pledge to change behaviour and to put pressure on political leaders across the ideological spectrum.

Mr Gore realises that corporations and governments must take decisive action to stop global warming, but, in making this grand gesture, he is appealing to us all to do something that should not require any drum beating to realise.
