Worth the wait

CORK must be the only city in the world that constantly tests the ingenuity of its citizens to find their way from A to B.

The latest challenge is to get from north to south down the Grand Parade through the maze of fences, pits and pipes.

But in this instance, thankfully, the challenge is coming to an end. When the job is completed, and when the new library is eventually built, Grand Parade will be one of the finest streetscapes in Europe, for which we can all be thankful and even prouder than before.
