Bus Éireann ban puts smokers at risk

BUS Éireann recently introduced a blanket ban on smoking in the outdoor areas of Bus Áras in Dublin. I have been a commuter and Bus Éireann customer for 10 years between my home in Kells and my job in Dublin.

The ban was introduced without notice to Bus Éireann’s many customers.

I am not whinging about smoking bans. I am struggling to become an ex-smoker and support such bans. However, in the Bus Áras case, they have ordered the puffing punter outside the front door into the hands of waiting junkies, pick-pockets and beggars, many of whom actually proceed to smoke inside the building.
