Wrong-side drivers

SURELY we don’t need Gay Byrne or the head of our Traffic Corps to tell us that a high percentage of fatal road accidents are caused by left-hand-drive vehicles.

The drivers of these vehicles have to cross the centre line just to see if it is safe to overtake, and it is at this point that head-on accidents happen.

Isn’t it high time for commonsense to rule?
