EU commissioner’s priorities challenged

EU commissioner Charlie McCreevy has been extolling unfettered free-market enterprise.

As a European commissioner, I would have thought he would be better off showing less bias towards the rich and the movers-and-shakers, although I suppose when you are dining with them in their ivory towers you are inclined to be somewhat compromised.

I can assure Mr McCreevy the vast majority of the world’s population is made up of the poor, the homeless and the sick.
