Gambling in the news

THE wildly distorted coverage RTÉ is giving the National Lottery in order to encourage people to throw money into a government slush fund is a disgrace.

I’ve lost count of the times they have managed to pretend the increased prices and decreased chance of winning are so wonderful for us all that it’s been on the news.

Could their implausibly positive attitude be connected with the amount of pointless advertising the lottery is doing on RTÉ?
