Car as classroom

NO ONE seems to have an answer to the tragic loss of young lives on our roads.

Car as classroom

However, I feel parents have a huge role to play in passing on the skills of safe driving from as early an age as possible.

Parents should see their cars as mobile classrooms in which they can pass on potentially life-saving information.

Primary schools working in conjunction with parents have huge potential to reinforce such lessons.

And to top it all, comprehensive education programmes funded by the Government would make a real difference, as they have done in the USA and elsewhere.
