Some mistake

PRESIDENT Bush described the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal as “the biggest mistake that’s happened so far, at least from our country’s involvement in Iraq” (Irish Examiner, May 27).

When you consider that air strikes from coalition forces accounted for most of the violent deaths of at least 100,000 civilians, you seek a new definition of what constitutes a ‘mistake’.
