Lesson of a tragedy

FOLLOWING the tragic discovery of a baby’s body in a farm building in Co Meath, why won’t the Government realise that we need a sex education system that actually teaches adolescents about sex and its consequences and removes the stigma of abortion.

Have we already forgotten Ann Lovett? Or the babies abandoned each year in car parks or outside hospitals? Opponents of abortion should ask themselves whether a mother leaving a full-term baby to die in secret is better than a medical procedure in a safe environment where she can receive the necessary counselling?
