Essential national infrastructure forgotten about in Brexit border talks

On the North-South Interconnector, the fact is that we have outdone David Davis on backsliding, writes Gerard Howlin.

As he travels to Brussels tomorrow to sign off on phase one of the Brexit talks, there is one bridge across the border not built. That’s the North-South interconnector. That’s not the DUP’s fault. It’s ours. To put the carry-on in context, we got the shovels in the ground sooner on the National Children’s Hospital. That is not an admirable standard for action or alacrity.
