Essential national infrastructure forgotten about in Brexit border talks

‘WE WANT to build bridges not borders,” says Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

As he travels to Brussels tomorrow to sign off on phase one of the Brexit talks, there is one bridge across the border not built. That’s the North-South interconnector. That’s not the DUP’s fault. It’s ours. To put the carry-on in context, we got the shovels in the ground sooner on the National Children’s Hospital. That is not an admirable standard for action or alacrity.
