Readers Blog: Less prison time for rape than having an abortion

If a man rapes me he will serve approximately 10 years in prison (that’s if he is even convicted).

If I procure an abortion to end the pregnancy from said rape I will serve 14 years.

My rapist will be released before me.

This is one of the many reasons why we need to repeal the Eighth Amendment.
