We pay the price for Enda Kenny's leadership survival

Next Wednesday is a big day for Enda Kenny, writes Political Editor Daniel McConnell.

He has been leader of Fine Gael since the summer of 2002 and has been Taoiseach since March 9, 2011.

Next Wednesday, should he survive until then — and as things stand there is no reason to think he won’t — he will become the longest-serving Fine Gael Taoiseach in history, surpassing John A Costello.
