SUBSCRIBEHe may not be the most famous Irish freedom fighter, being eclipsed somewhat by Michael Collins, but major plans are in place to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of General Liam Lynch who led Anti-Treaty forces during the Civil War.
Three counties in particular are preparing special events to coincide with the centenary, but there is a lot of interest in it all over Ireland and some are coming from as far away as Argentina and the US to take part.
