Tánaiste Micheál Martin will seek approval after formal diplomatic relations between the states were established in September.

Ireland is set to appoint its first full ambassador of Palestine after the move to recognise the state earlier this year. 

Tánaiste Micheál Martin will seek approval after formal diplomatic relations between the states were established in September. This upgrade in status means the diplomatic mission will enjoy the full range of privileges and immunities applied under the Vienne Convention.
