Nancy Pelosi warns ‘democracy at stake’ during visit to Ireland

Democracy is at stake because of autocratic governments, the former speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, has said.

She was speaking at the residence of the US ambassador to Ireland, in Dublin’s Phoenix Park, on Sunday, as she became the inaugural recipient of the Fulbright Ireland Public Service Award.
