Varadkar: Some of Donald Trump's past comments 'have been highly inappropriate'

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said Ireland has a responsibility to work with whoever the next US president will be but has described comments made by Donald Trump as “highly inappropriate.”

With Mr Trump set for the Republican nomination, leading to an election rematch with US President Joe Biden, concerns have been expressed in Europe about the possibility of Trump returning to the White House.
