President Michael D Higgins has asked the Supreme Court to decide whether a Bill set to introduce a new system to appoint judges is constitutional.
As earlier reported be the , the President has decided to refer the Judicial Appointments Commission Bill 2022 to the Supreme Court "for a decision on the question as to whether the Bill is repugnant to the Constitution or to any provision thereof".
