Man, 60s, dies following four-vehicle crash in Tipperary

A man has died following a four-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary on Monday evening.
The incident happened on the R688 at Cooper's Lot, Cashel, at around 5.40pm and involved a van and three cars.
The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford, where an autopsy will take place in due course.
The coroner has also been notified.
The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was taken to Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel with serious injuries.
Gardaí say no other injuries were reported at the time.
The road is currently closed for gardaí to carry out a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who were travelling in the area of Cooper’s Lot, Cashel, Co Tipperary between 5pm and 6pm on Monday, and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
