Gardaí appeal for information after alleged assault in Whitegate

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to an alleged assault in Whitegate in Cork on Friday afternoon.

Shortly after 4pm, gardaí say a man in his 30s was reportedly assaulted and threatened by a lone male near the local playground in Whitegate. The victim managed to flee the scene without serious injury.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Additionally, any motorists or individuals with camera or dash cam footage from the Whitegate Village area between 3pm and 6pm on Friday have been urged to get in touch with investigating gardaí.
