The woman who died in a three-car crash in Co Limerick will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

Áine O’Reilly, from Pallasgreen, died in a crash that occurred on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, on Friday night.

Ms O'Reilly, who was in her 30s, was the sole occupant of one of the cars involved and was pronounced dead at the scene. She worked as a nurse for the out-of-hours service Shannon Doc, and was travelling to work when the incident occurred.

She is survived by her parents Eugene and Ann, brothers Eoin, James, and Conor, sister-in-law Aisling, nephew Dáire, along with her relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Ms O’Reilly will repose at Ryan & Whites Funeral Home in Pallasgreen on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Her funeral will take place at St John the Baptist Church in Nicker on Wednesday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in St. Columba’s cemetery in Pallasgreen.

The healthcare worker has been remembered as a “gentle and loving person”.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the O'Reilly family as Áine was a former colleague of ours at St Michael's Nursing Home in Caherconlish," said a former colleague.

"She was a gentle and kind loving person, her love for life and caring for people and animals was phenomenal and her family."

The driver of the second car involved in the crash, a man aged in his 40s, was brought to UHL for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigating gardaí said they are seeking to identify the driver of the third car, who fled the scene, leaving the vehicle they were driving behind.

On Sunday, a spokesperson told the Irish Examiner that gardaí are "following a definite line of inquiry".

"Gardaí would like to thank the public for their assistance," the spokesperson said.

"Investigations are ongoing."
