Four men arrested following robbery at a commercial premises in Co Clare

The incident happened at around 3.15pm in Carrigaholt, and a quantity of cash was reported stolen

Four men have been arrested following a robbery at a commercial premises in Co Clare on Wednesday. 

The incident, which saw a woman in her 40s received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, happened at around 3.15pm in Carrigaholt. A quantity of cash was also reported stolen. 

The four men, all aged in their 30s, were arrested and taken to Garda stations in Co Clare. 

They are currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. 

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them. Anyone who was in The Square, Carrigaholt on Wednesday, January 21 2026, between 3pm and 3.30pm and who may have any information is asked to contact investigating gardaí. 

Any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make that footage available.
