Woman, 70s, injured in Kerry crash dies as gardaí renew witness appeal 

Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward and have renewed an appeal for information. 

A woman who was injured in a Co Kerry crash last week has since died, gardaí have announced. 

The single-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 11.40pm on the N23, Lisheenbaun, Castleisland, on Wednesday, December 10.

The woman, who was aged in her 70s, was the sole occupant of the car.  

She was removed from the scene to Kerry University Hospital after the crash, but has since passed away, gardaí said.

Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward and have renewed an appeal for information. 

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N23 in the Lisheenbaun, Castleisland area between 11.20pm and 11.50pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
